Terms & Conditions of Contribution

1. Contribution Eligibility

Contributions to the Tony Sciara campaign for Ward 2 may only be made by individuals normally resident in Ontario. Contributions from corporations, trade unions, businesses, or associations are prohibited under Ontario municipal election law.

By making a contribution, you confirm that you are acting on your own behalf and not on behalf of any other person or entity.

2. Contribution Limit

The maximum total contribution by any single individual to this campaign is $1,200.00, inclusive of all monetary and non-monetary contributions made during the campaign period.

The campaign tracks cumulative contributions and reserves the right to refuse or refund any contribution that would cause your total to exceed this limit.

3. Contributor Declaration

By contributing, I confirm that I am an individual normally resident in Ontario, that this contribution is made from my own personal funds and is not paid or reimbursed by a corporation, trade union, business, association or another person. I also confirm that this contribution, together with all previous monetary and non-monetary contributions to this campaign, will not cause my total contributions to exceed $1,200.

4. Information You Provide

To comply with Ontario municipal election finance reporting requirements, every contribution must be recorded with the contributor's full legal name, residential address, city, province, postal code, and email. This information is collected and retained for the sole purpose of campaign finance reporting and receipt issuance.

Your personal information is kept confidential and is not sold, shared, or used for commercial purposes.

5. Receipts

Every contribution will receive a campaign receipt bearing a unique receipt number. Receipts issued by a municipal election campaign are not income tax receipts and cannot be used to claim a tax deduction.

6. Refunds

Contributions are generally non-refundable. In the event of an error, a duplicate submission, or a contribution that exceeds the legal limit, the campaign will issue a refund at its discretion and in accordance with applicable law.

7. Payments

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your card or payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. The campaign receives only the transaction result and the contributor details you submit on this form.

8. Authorization

All contributions are authorized by the Tony Sciara campaign for Ward 2, Hamilton, Ontario. Financial agent and official registration details are confirmed in accordance with municipal election rules.
